EU Project development, proposal writing and preparing project budget
This 5-day training course is for individuals who want to learn how to design EU projects or to improve their skills to write each section of the proposal; identify partners, coordinators and create consortia; prepare and write budgets; manage and implement EU projects successfully. The training course focuses on application and evaluation form and Calls for Proposals for the EU programme for research and innovation HORIZON 2020.
STEVE QUARRIE is the Head of education in the European Training Academy; professor at the Faculty of Biology, Belgrade University, also a visiting Professor at the Business School, Newcastle University, UK. He has provided regular training courses for over 15 years to scientists in Europe on general skills needed to develop a successful career doing science and research, including how to write project proposals. He has extensive experience of international project coordination and management (FP4 STREP EGRAM, FP6 WATERWEB, FP7 CAREBREED) and has written more than 10 successful EU-funded projects, with a success rate in writing research (FP and H2020) projects around 60%. Steve has been a proposal evaluator for the EC.
GORAN STOJANOVIC has twenty years of experience in the sector of education and ten years of experience in writing and the successful implementation of EU-funded projects, worth over 8 MEUR. He is/was the coordinator of the following projects: H2020-MEDLEM, FP7-SENSEIVER, FP7-APOSTILLE, EUREKA-IPCTECH, CEI-GRAPHSENS …; as well as the partner in the following projects: ERASMUS-IF4TM, TEMPUS-WBCInno, TEMPUS WBCVMnet … Some of these projects were declared as examples of good practice. As a result, Dr. Goran Stojanović has been invited to present projects APOSTILLE or SENSEIVER at the events organized by the EC. Goran is professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Novi Sad.
MARIJA SOLA SPASIC worked within the National Contact Point (NCP) network of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development in Serbia as a contact person for financial and legal issues in the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) from 2009 to 2012. Marija helped researchers to prepare project budget during project proposal writing and to manage projects during implementation phase. She has participated in a number of information days and trainings organized by The Ministry. From 2010 to 2013 she worked at the University of Belgrade and now works as a project manager at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering where he is responsible for the financial implementation and monitoring of all international projects and institutions. As a project manager she participated in a number of international projects funded through various EU programs (IPA, FP7, CIP, Tempus, Eureka…).
GORDANA VLAHOVIC works as the Head of International Relations Office at the University of Novi Sad Faculty of Sciences, Novi Sad, Serbia and is responsible for coordinating activities on EU programmes Horizon 2020, FP7, Erasmus Plus, IPA. Main activities and expertise related to her work refer to consultancy on EU funding for research and education, advising on administrative procedures and contractual issues, guidance on choosing thematic priorities and instruments, training and assistance in proposal writing, assistance in partner search and policy making.
